OCR: Arts & Letters SpaceAGE Computers Consumer Dental Spinoffs of NASA Technology For over 30 years, NASA has been in the forefront of Education Energy Food aeronautics and space technology, and that technology has been put to many other uses that benefit humanity. Industry Medical Safety Technology is simply knowledge, technical know-how, Resources Tele-Comm Transport and like other forms of knowledge, it is readily transferable. Once developed, a technology can be Audio reapplied to uses different -- and often remote -- from the original application. Thus the great storehouse of technology that NASA has built up constitutes a valuable national resource, a bank of know-how available for secondary application, or `spinoff.' NASA has developed tens of thousands of spinoff products. However, the technology does not end with products, it continues with processes used to create useful and sometimes vital medicines and equipment. Excerpts taken from James T.
